Does extra Storage space require insurance?

North Buncombe Self Storage does not require you to ensure your items, but our facility is not responsible for any loss or damage to your stored items, most Home Owners or renters insurance covers outside storage.

What is required to rent a unit?

 Current government issued ID, $25 refundable deposit & 1 month rent in advance

 Can I rent a unit online? 

No, please call for availability as this is ever changing.

Do I have to sign a long-term contract? 

No, we understand people’s needs are all different. However, we do require at least a 2-month rental, after that is month to month for as long as you need

 

Does the unit come with a lock?

No, you as the customer provide your own lock, although we do suggest to make yourself an extra key for safe keeping as we do charge a $25 fee for lock cutoffs.

Do I have access to my unit at all times?

Yes, you do have access at all times, however, we appreciate moving in & out restricted between the hours of 7 am – 11 pm as we live on the premises.

What items are prohibited in a self-storage?

You may not store any items that are explosive, flammable, odorous, hazardous, corrosive or perishable as our units are not Climate Controlled. This does include vehicles, if unsure about something just ask.
